Walter William Anderson

Walter William Anderson

March 24, 1920 – January 13, 2012
Walter is lovingly remembered by his wife of 61 years, Katherina, his daughters Donna (Dennis) and Joan (Garry), grandchildren Michelle (Kris), Stephanie, David and Christine, sister Hilma, his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed his long morning walks, gardening, woodworking projects, reading and travel. Walter was devoted to his family and the way he treated people and lived his life inspires us. A Memorial Service to honour Walter’s life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, January 20th at the Bell & Burnaby Funeral Chapel, 4276 Hastings Street, Burnaby, B.C. with a reception to follow. The family would like to sincerely thank the kind and caring staff at the St. Michael’s Hospice Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.bellburnaby.com.

    Donna, Joan, and Mrs. Anderson,

Mom and Dad (Harry and Thelma) always kept me “up to date” on how Walter and Kay were doing. I know it’s been a lot of years since we’ve seen each other Donna and Joan, but I am thinking of you and I’m sorry to hear of your dad’s passing.

    Karen (Caddy) and Phil Kanske

  3. Heather Hinrichsen (Peterson) on January 20th, 2012 12:43 pm

Dear Katie, Donna, and Joan, although I haven’t seen you all for many years, Mom keeps me up to date on news of the Andersons, so was sad to hear that Walter is gone. Many memories brought to life of family get togethers at Missions, Brackendale, and Surrey. Thinking of you.
    Heather Hinrichsen (Peterson)
