Salvatore Francesco (Frank) Calendino
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Salvatore Frank Calendino, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many. Frank was born December 6, 1940 in Mangone, Cosenza, Italy and passed on December 7, 2011. He will be missed terribly by his loving wife of 46 years, Nerina, by sons Joseph and Ralph (Rina), daughter Eva (Nick), and 7 grandchildren, the source of his pride and joy. He is survived by brothers Raffaele and Pietro, 4 sisters Maria, Elda, Ada and Liliana and many nieces and nephews who fondly remember Zio Frank as the life of the party. We will remember his smile, his charm, his laughter and the unique way of welcoming people into his family. He was a kind hearted, generous man who touched peoples’ lives in many ways. He had a zest for life and enjoyed it to the fullest. He will be missed by all. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, December 14th at 1:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church 8842 119th St. (@88th) Delta, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to www.heartandstrokeca. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.bellburnaby.com

Daddy, you ‘life’s lessons” were always important to us… It was beautiful to see the love that you gave to each of your children and how much you had your your grandchildren. They will have the fondest of memories -each story has a teching of some sort and a happy memory along side it… The last words we said to you were, Happy Birthday Daddy, I love you and you kissed me like I was one of your own… I hope you truly listened to those words and use then as a pillow as you rest in eternal peace. We, your family, are your legacy and you, our legend. Riposo in pace. <3 <3<3

I am the coordinator of the CORE Program trguohh the School of HPER at IU. Our spring semester courses have been held at Hilltop for a few years now. Greg always went out of his way to make Hilltop our home away from home during the long hours we spent in the classroom together. Our students always considered him part of our CORE family. His unexpected passing has left us all in shock. I can’t imagine walking into Hilltop and not seeing his smiling face. All of us in CORE would like to extend our sympathies to Susan and to all of Greg’s associates, friends, and family. Please let us know if we can do anything to help during this difficult time.
