It is with great sadness that we announced the passing of Reno, who was born in Aquasanta Terme, Ascoli Piceno, Italy. Predeceased by his 3 brothers Nicola, Serafino and Pompilio and sister Rosa. Survived by his loving wife Filomena, daughters Liana and Cathy, grandchildren Melissa, Daniel and Robert, 4 great-grandchildren, sister Claudina, sister-in-laws Linda, Carmine and Bettina, many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 14th at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1450 Delta Avenue, Burnaby B.C. It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Luciano, who passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family: wife Rossana, son Remo (Jennifer), niece Dina and nephew Claudio. He is survived by his brother Emilio (Isa) and other family in Italy; predeceased by his brother Osvaldo. Luciano was a hard working and honest man all his life and he will be sadly missed by his family and dearest friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, October 13, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 6610 Balmoral St. Burnaby. Private family interment. TAYLOR, Anna Stella (nee Bruchesi/Agostino)

July 19, 1913 – October 7, 2011
Anna passed away surrounded by love and in the presence of her family at Haro Park Centre at the age of 98 years. She leaves to mourn her devoted daughter Rosemarie Tillman; grandsons Philip Agostino and Anthony Tillman (Tiffany); grand-daughter Maria Katsionis (Peter), and 2 great grandchildren Dimitri and Ireland. She was predeceased by second husband Myron Taylor in 1979, first husband Philip Agostino in 1962, and her son Joseph (Joey) Agostino in 1973. Her parents Tony and Rosina Bruchesi, along with her brother Joe Bruchesi, sisters Carmen Lehto and Jennie LaRosa, emigrated from Mammola, Reggio Calabria in 1910. Anna, the youngest, was born in North Vancouver. She will be remembered for her amazing cooking, love of people, and for touching many peoples’ lives. Special thank-you to her family at Haro Park Centre for their loving care. Viewing will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2011 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Bell & Burnaby Funeral Chapel 4276 Hastings St. Burnaby. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, October 13, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 525 S. Slocan St. Vancouver. Tim passed away on September 28, 2011 at Royal Columbian Hospital aged 67. Lovingly remembered by his wife Janet; son Ryan; daughter Leanne (Steve Tan); sisters Maybelle (Yuey Yip) and Mary Lim; and many relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Mary, and brother Thom.
A celebration of Tim’s life will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011, at 1:30 pm at Bell & Burnaby Funeral Chapel, 4276 Hastings St., Burnaby, inurnment at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Tim’s memory to Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation or BC Cancer Foundation (brain tumour research) would be appreciated.

Millie will be greatly missed by her many dear and close friends. We announce the passing of our cherished and beloved mother. Filomena was born in Morcone, Foggia, Italy and passed away at Burnaby Hospital. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Giuseppe in 1975. Our adored mother will be missed by her children Nicola (Maria), Bert (Sandra), Maria (Bob) and Giovanni (Julie), grandchildren Giuseppe (Sabrina), Julia, Julian, Elio (Stephanie), Jordan (Kate), Camille, Nicola, Sean and Chloe, great-grandchildren Nicola, Carmela and Crighton. She also leaves behind sister-in-laws, many nieces, nephews and their families here and other family in Italy. She was very loving and held true love and dedication for all she cared for in her heart. Her Lord, family, garden and memories of her homeland gave her enjoyment. We know God will comfort and surround her with his tender love. A lifetime resident of North Burnaby, Barbara died peacefully in the presence of her family (loving husband of 54 years) Monty and children Deborah, Katherine and Graham. She is also survived by daughter-in-law Manuela and son-in-law Glen and granddaughters (“My Girls”) Katelin and Chelsea. A bookkeeper by profession – her primary career was most certainly as wife, mother and grandmother. She will be fondly remembered for her good nature, sense of humour, generosity, thoughtfulness, selflessness, gentle strength and quiet support. Her love and devotion to family was demonstrated in everything she did. She was simply “the best” and we will always feel truly blessed and grateful that she was ours. No Service at her request.
