Barbara Ann Young (nee Pearson)
August 6th, 1936 – October 2nd , 2011
A lifetime resident of North Burnaby, Barbara died peacefully in the presence of her family (loving husband of 54 years) Monty and children Deborah, Katherine and Graham. She is also survived by daughter-in-law Manuela and son-in-law Glen and granddaughters (“My Girls”) Katelin and Chelsea. A bookkeeper by profession – her primary career was most certainly as wife, mother and grandmother. She will be fondly remembered for her good nature, sense of humour, generosity, thoughtfulness, selflessness, gentle strength and quiet support. Her love and devotion to family was demonstrated in everything she did. She was simply “the best” and we will always feel truly blessed and grateful that she was ours. No Service at her request. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.bellburnaby.com.

Debbie and Kathy,
So many fond memories of your Mom. She always made time to chat and bake and laugh with us and when needed she could bend a mean license plate! Glad Shelly and I were able to visit with all of you a few summers ago. Hold on to your Dad and let her love and laughter and your memories fill the hole she has left.
Love,
Harriet
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. You are in my thoughts and hope good memories of her will help you through this time.
Sorry to see her go! Nice couple!
Mr. Young, Debbie, Kathy, Graham and families
Thank you so much for sharing your family and your mom with me. You were all always there for me. You were a family of fun, laughter, games, teasing and sleepovers. There was homemade icecream that everybody had to take a turn at making, thick slices bologna we ate with a knife and fork, baking and goodies that were endless and movies like “Paint Your Wagon” we all had to see. But most of all, it was always feeling like part of your family that was special. Barb always made time for everyone. I am so glad that Harriet and I got to see your mom and you again a couple of years ago. I have so many fond memories of your mom I will always hold on to. Thank you again for sharing her with me.
Dear Monty, Debbie, Glen, Kathy, Graham, Manuela, Katelin and Chelsea,
We hope that all of your precious memories of your amazing, Wife, Mom and Grandma, will help you all now at this difficult time.
With our very sincere sympathy and condolences,
Marie, Malcolm, Cory, Kelsi and Kevin Bell
