Ruth Ellen Moran

Ruth Ellen Moran born November 23, 1916, passed peacefully on August 28, 2011, at Burnaby General Hospital with her loving daughter, Linda, by her side. Ruth was born and raised on the prairies of Buris, Saskatchewan. Ruth and her late brother, Carl, were born at home to Andrew and Alma Olson, originally from Roma, Sweden. Ruth married her late husband “Tex” in Regina, Saskatchewan before moving to British Columbia to start their own family. She spent her life in the pursuit of making her family and friends feel comfortable with her loving personality and world famous pies. She will be fondly remembered by her daughter Linda, grandchildren Don and Amanda, 3 great grandchildren, and many other family and friends. A viewing will be held on September 14th, at 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Bell & Burnaby Funeral Chapel, 4276 Hastings Street, Burnaby. A Graveside service will be held on September 15th, at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Normandy section, 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby. Meet at the front gate at 10:45 a.m. Memorial donations can be made to the BC Cancer Foundation, Suite 600 – 686 Broadway, Vancouver, BC V5Z 1G1.
