It is with great sorrow that the family of Claudio Maion announces his passing after a lengthy illness at the age of 84. Predeceased by his wife Flora. He is survived by his four children, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows, 525 Slocan Street, Vancouver. Entombment to follow at Ocean View Burial Park – The Abbey Mausoleum, Burnaby, B.C. Those who so desire may make memorial donations in the memory of Claudio to the B.C. Cancer Agency.

    My thoughts go out to your family and friends at this sad time.

    My oldest recollection of your dad is a gathering at your first home off of Renfrew with both the Maions and Kellys in attendance. Your dad approached me and strongly recommended that a drink a glass of good old home made Italian wine. I was used to Rose wine and it went straight to my head after two glasses. It made your dad laugh and so did I, the next day.

    Keep your memories close to your heart and know that everyone is thinking of you.
