Born October 26, 1925 in Grimaldi, Cosenza, Italy passed away August 28, 2011 in Vancouver, B.C. Antonio is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Mafalda; children Mike (Maria), Mario (Maria), Frank (Dolora), Lisa Kullman (Dave) and Sergio (Nerina); grandchildren Andrea (Mauro), Michael, Tina, Jessica, Anthony, Melissa, Daniel, Daniella, Brianna, Cassia and Antonio; brother Pasquale; other family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Michael and Maria Luisa and sister Rosaria. Prayers will be offered at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 525 Slocan Street, Vancouver where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 a.m. Entombment, The Abbey, Ocean View Burial Park. Born September 3, 1938 in Spezzano Sila, Calabria, Alfonso passed away August, 27th 2011 at VGH with his family around him. He will be forever missed by his son Paul and daughter-in-law Janine and his adoring granddaughters Lauren and Adrianna; brothers Mario, Antonio, Franco; sisters Teresa, Lina and Lidia; brothers and sisters in- law; cousins; nieces and nephews; and his many friends. He was predeceased by his beautiful wife Angela in 1998. Alfonso was a shining example of a deeply caring and wonderful nonno; a truly wonderful man who held and showed so much love for his family. His legacy will always be his warmth, his strength of character and his courage and perseverance. Alfonso’s family would like to thank the compassionate doctors and nurses at VGH and the BC Cancer Agency. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday August 31, 2011 at 1 pm at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, 525 S. Born in Ponte, Benevento, Italy, Emilia passed away peacefully in Burnaby, BC on August 26th, 2011. Predeceased by husband Cosimo in 2001 and son Umberto in 2008. Lovingly survived by son Domenico; sisters Vittoria and Carmela; daughters-in-law Sandra and Lynne; grandchildren Frank, Robert and Jennifer; great grandchildren Sofia, Chiara and Ryder; sisters-in-law Ilia and Caterina and many other relatives in BC, US, Australia and Italy. Emilia’s passion in life was her family. She will be dearly missed. We would like to thank all the doctors and nurses on Unit 5 at Burnaby General Hospital. It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of their beloved father and grandfather in Burnaby on August 21, 2011. George was born near Pierson Manitoba on April 23, 1918. He had 2 brothers Bill and Alec, and 4 sisters Agnes, Beth, Mary and Janet. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in WW II. George married Norah (Betty) Elizabeth Wright on December 26, 1942. Following the war George trained as a watchmaker and had a 40 plus year career serving his clients. George settled in Burnaby where he built a home. George was a proud Mason and a Boy Scout Leader. He had a keen mind and was a whiz with numbers. He enjoyed pets, cars, camping, gardening, travel and movies. He was also a devoted BC Lions and Vancouver Canucks fan. George was predeceased by his first wife Betty, and by his second wife Mildred. George is survived by his sister Mary, son Bryan (Barbara) of Kelowna, and granddaughters Amy of Kelowna and Eryn of Calgary, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. The family wishes to thank all of the healthcare staff at Burnaby Hospital for their kind care of George in his last days. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him. Friends and family are invited to join in honouring George’s memory at an informal celebration of life to be held at 1950 Sperling Ave., Burnaby on September 10, 2011 from 1-3pm. Harvey slipped away quietly to join his wife June who went just six weeks before him. He was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and came to Vancouver, B.C. shortly after World War 2, June and Harvey married on January 18, 1947 and moved to Burnaby, B.C. where they lived for over 50 years.
