Kevin Dale Lovestrom

September 20, 2010

With sad hearts we announce the sudden passing of our son, brother and uncle, Kevin Dale Lovestrom. Kevin passed away quietly at home on September 17th 2010. Kevin loved life and his family dearly and will be sadly missed by his mother and father, Jean and Bob, his sister Laurie Dawn, brother (in-law) Pat Trippell, his three nieces Leah, Holly and Alexandra, and his Granny Laurine Lindsay of Creston B.C.

Kevin will also be missed by Renee’, uncles and aunts; Dave and Robbie Lindsay of Creston and their family, Fred & May Masuch & Family, Alice & Bill MacDonald & Family, Lorraine Lovestrom & Family, Albert and Margaret Lovestrom and family, the Everitt Family, and many cousins and close friends.

Kevin followed in his father’s footsteps working in construction in BC and Alberta initially as a construction surveyor and later as a senior construction manager with a firm in Calgary. Kevin loved to snow ski, kayak, para-glide, and spend time with his friends and family. Kevin enjoyed cooking and whenever there was a family get together we looked forward to his gourmet dishes.

Kevin was a kind and gentle soul with attitude, he had a special love for his Grandma and Grandfather Lovestrom, Gran and Granddad Lindsay and the old Lindsay farm on Hurry Road in Creston where as a small child he learned to ride a horse and love animals.

Kevin lived the past year in Vancouver with his cat Orange Kitty, who were companions for 17 years prior to Kitty’s passing on August 19th. Kevin always had more questions than answers about life but we know he now has an answer to all he was seeking.

Kevin, we know you are watching over us, we love and miss you very much… your family and friends.

A celebration of Kevin’s life and time for sharing will be arranged and announced at a later date at his birth place Creston BC. We kindly request that in lieu of flowers a donation in Kevin’s name be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
