Judy Zaurrini (nee Stefanucci)
August 26, 1946 – August 4, 2010
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of a cherished Nonna, devoted mother, sister and friend. Pre-deceased by her parents Luigi and Onora Stefanucci and her beloved husband, Loreto Zaurrini, in 2009. Judy battled the last year of her life with dignity, strength and honour. Left behind to mourn her are her children Sante (Linda), Tina (Claudio Suraci) and Filippo (Angela), her precious grandchildren, Nicole, Nico, Stefani, Giuliana and Moreno, her siblings Andy Stefanucci, Lucy Peloso (Gino), Loreta Conte (Silvio), brothers-in-law Giancarlo (Luisa) and Ezio (Angela), sister-in-law Concetta (Stefano), dear friends Tony and Angela DiStefano and Enza Piperni, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, August 9, 2010, 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church 525 S. My granddaughter and i especially remember with fondness the love and kindness your parents had for children. My granddaughter was 8 years old when she came to the office with me to pick up some plans. With shyness she asked for permission to pick some grapes and she was told to pick as much as as she wanted. When we got there your mom made her feel welcomed and told her she had a granddaughter her age. Your mom told her to remember to come back next year. My heart is broken to experience this terrible loss of Judy. Even though, we live out of town physically, our hearts are with all of you with tight hugs, many tears, and affectionate kisses. Judy was so very special to me and our families. I feel that I have lost one of my dearest and most precious roots. Judy was a true fighter, a cheerful confidant, and a loyal and compassionate friend. I feel and pray for the Zaurrini children and Stefanucci family. You have had to deal with too many sad events in the last 2 years. I pray that the Lord with provide comfort and strength for all of you. You have no choice but to endure this however Judy’s example is also our strength. So take one day at a time as she did. Take every example of kindness from others as your strength. Remember the happy and loved moments you had with her as I know that I will treasure these past events as well. Somewhere, in another world, Judy and Larry are now happily climbing the Mattherhorn of their new home. They both know that their lives were very well spent, they both know that they will be living in our memories.

Judy you left us way too soon. You put up a courageous fight against your illness and nothing more could have been expected. You will always be in our hearts and be remembered for your kindness, thoughtfullness and generosity. We could have share many more years together but is with extreme sadness that we let you go to join Loreto, who already with god, has been waiting for you.
