Assunta Bertelli

Assunta passed away peacefully on August 23, 2010 at the age of 87 years. Predeceased by her husband Alfredo. She is survived by her loving family: children Carlo (Cynthia), Giusi (Gerald) Gerwin; grandchildren Alessandro, Stefan, Matteo, and Christian; sister Gina and numerous family members and friends. Born in Treviso, Italy, she is the thirteenth of fourteen children, immigrated to Canada in 1955, and a long time member of the Italian Centre Seniors Club. A special thank you to all the staff of Villa Carital making her last year a special one. Prayers will be offered Thursday, August 26, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church 6350 Naniamo St. Vancouver, BC where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, August 27, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. Entombment to follow at the Abbey Mausoleum, Ocean View Burial Park. In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of BC & Yukon would be greatly appreciated. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.bellburnaby.com
