Born February 12, 1925 in Sannicandro di Bari, Italy, passed away May 27, 2010, Burnaby, BC. Predeceased by brother Vito. Survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Maria, his children Teresa (Otto), Frank (Teresa), Kelly, Mary (Eric), John (Cathy) and Laura; his adoring grandchildren Attilio, Josie, Jennifer, Neal (Cathy), Megan, Carlo, Sahara, Zarina, Nicole (David), Matt, and Bianca; his brother Gino and his sister-in-law Giuseppina. Giuseppe had a true zest for life, he enjoyed sports, opera, singing and gardening. He was an animated storyteller, whose stories will live on for many generations to come. His sense of humour illuminated a room. All who knew him loved him. Celso was born January 12, 1926 in S. Giovanni di Casarsa, Italy and passed away suddenly May 24, 2010. Survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Alice; children Robert (Lynn), Linda (Gino) and Patrizia (Michael); grandchilden Matthew, Michael, Lauren, Nicola and Daniel. Colin Smart Walker

Passed away on May 4, 2010 at the age of 88 years. He is predeceased by his wife Selma, daughter Patricia, three grandsons, David Polok, Bradley Walker and Bradley Polok, and three brothers, John, Peter and Bert. Colin is survived by his daughter Mary Polok, and three sons, James (Linda), Bill (Laura) and Bob (Cheryl) and one brother Alex (Faith) Nicol. There are countless grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren who have been lucky enough to have him in their lives. After the death of his wife Selma, Colin moved to Port Moody where he lived with his eldest daughter, Mary, until his death. Special thanks go to Darryl Chausse, Al Zubick and other legion members who provided such support to Colin and his family during this very difficult time. Also to the Doctors and Nurses at Eagle Ridge Hospital for their care and support. A Celebration of Life and Memorial Service will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion in Port Moody, 2513 Clarke Street, Port Moody, BC, on Sunday, May 16, 2010 at 3:30 pm in the legion auditorium.

71, Passed away May 14, 2010 in Vancouver, BC. A prayer service will be held at 8:00 pm, Wednesday, May, 19, 2010 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church (555 Slocan Street, Vancouver). Funeral services will be for the immediate family only. Elvezio was born January 15, 1939 in Morsano al Tagliamento, Pordenone, Italy, to Elizabetta Infanti and Rizzeri Del Bianco (both deceased). He immigrated to Sydney, Austrailia in 1960 and then to Vancouver in 1963, where he married Ada Toneguzzo on May 23, 1964. Elvezio, a skilled craftsman, worked as a tile setter for 30 years. His work can still be seen throughout BC. He was a member of La Famee Furlane of Vancouver for 45 years. Elvezio will be remembered for his warm smile, generosity, infectious sense of humour and colourful storytelling. He will be greatly missed. Elvezio is survived by his wife, Ada, sons Elvy (Francesca) and Vanny (Sharon), daughter Lydia (Natasha), grandchildren Elyjah and Indah, brother Alfieri and many nieces and nephews both here and in Italy. He was predeceased by brother Franco and sister Idelma.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Vincenza. Vincenza passed away on May 15, 2010 at Vancouver General Hospital at the age of 70 years. She is predeceased by her loving parents Francesco and Maria Annunziata. She is survived by her loving husband Joe, brothers and sisters; Luisa Calla, Rosa Furfaro, Maria (Renato) Bruzzese, Gina (Frank) Blaeser, Joe (Cathy) Bruzzese, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Special thank you to the Cardiac Unit at Vancouver General Hospital and all of the caring doctors and nurses. Rita was born in Vancouver, B.C  on October 24, 1912.  She was surrounded by love when she passed into the arms of our Lord on May 9, 2010 in Burnaby, B.C. She is preceded by her parents:  John & Margaret; her sisters: Lillian, Josephine, and Winnie.  She is survived by her sister Beverly, her nieces & nephews: Eileen, Beverly, Barbara, Margaret, Doreen, Martin, Roger and their families.  Many thanks to the caring staff at  the New Vista Care Home where she was lovingly known as Auntie Rita.  Prayers will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 2025 Napier St., Vancouver, B.C. at 7:00 p.m. on Friday May 21, 2010 where Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m on Saturday May 22, 2010.  Internment will follow at Ocean View Cemetery in Burnaby, B.C.

Passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at the age of 77 years.  Predeceased by husband Richard Brunt in 2001.  She is survived by her loving family: sons Kelly (Charlene) and Ken (Nalene); sister Betty (Wayne); brothers Robert of Australia and Pat (Kathy) and many nieces, nephews, and friends.  Special thank-you to Naomi and Kathy at St. Michael’s Hospice for their loving care of Dorothy.   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC Cancer Foundation.
