Vittoria Petronio

Vittoria Petronio suddenly passed away at Mt. St. Joseph hospital, on February 13, 2010, following years of illness.   She is survived by her husband Bruno, son Armando (Donna), grandchildren Christian, Vickie (Damien),  great grandchild Amelia, and many relatives in Italy. She will be remembered for her cooking, gardening and homemaking abilities, and her generosity in being a long standing volunteer at Italian Centre.  The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the  staff @ Villa Carital, where she resided for the last decade, particularly nurse Anna, the ECT staff at Mt. St. Joseph hospital with special recognition to nurse Elena.  Funeral mass will be held on Friday, February 19, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 2025 Napier Street, Vancouver.  In lieu of flowers, a donation to Providence Health Tapestry Foundation for Health Care in memory of Vittoria will gratefully be appreciated.

    Dear Armando, Bruno, Donna, Vickie, Christian and family:

    Vittoria and Bruno were for many years two of the pillars of the Italian community. Vittoria always fought for the truth and for honesty both in her family milieu and in the community. Please accept the most heartfelt condolences of a person of knew Vittoria well and always admired her spirit and sense of duty.
