Enrico (Anita), Pasquale, daughter Gioconda; and her grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church 1450 Delta Avenue, Burnaby. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. Predeceased by his parents, James (Dick) and Violet Shaw and brother Fred Shaw. Survived by his children Glen Shaw (Sandy Lowe) of Burnaby, Stacey (Bill) Charters of Fort Langley, Ian Shaw (Kaye Simard) of Vancouver; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Also sister Dorthy Shaw of Maple Ridge and brother Norman (Delphine) Shaw of Perth, Australia. He worked 37 years at B.C. Tel in North Vancouver, retiring in 1984. We would like to thank the staff at Valley View Geriatric Hospital for all their care and compassion. A celebration of life will be held at the Bell & Burnaby Funeral Chapel 4276 Hastings St. Burnaby on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be greatly appreciated.

With sadness we share the news that Margie passed away on New Year’s Day. A lifetime Burnaby resident, Margie (or Ma as many knew her) lived a long and full life. Predeceased by her husband Jack, she will be missed by those left behind including daughter Darlene (Bill), son Rey (Vanessa), grandchildren Kevin (Shawna), Carlene (Jeff), Sharla, Tara (Ryan) & Christine (Cory), and great-grandchildren Sydney, Connor, Will, Arielle, Alanna, Alyssa, Brayden and Cody. The family invites those who would like to pay their respects and share memories of Margie (Ma) to join them at the celebration of life being held on Sunday, January 10th at 2:00 p.m. at Darlene’s house. We are saddened to announce the passing of our wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was born in Camigliano, Caserta, Italy on September 4, 1928. Pasqualina, along with her children, immigrated to Canada in March of 1965 to then reunite with her husband who previously immigrated for the purpose of establishing a stable environment before calling for his family. She peacefully passed away while vacationing in Italy on December 25, 2009. Pasqualina is survived by her caring husband of 55 years, Umberto. She is also survived by her children Frank (Concetta), Maria (Ron), Salvatore (Silvana), Piera (Ralph), Tina (Lorenzo), and Tony (Deidre). She also leaves behind eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed. Her beautiful smile will radiate inside every one of us forever.
Prayers will be offered on January 11th, 2010 at 7:00 pm at Saint Francis of Assisi Parish, 2025 Napier Street, Vancouver, BC . Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on January 12th, 2010 at 10:00 am. Entombment to follow at the Abbey Mausoleum, Ocean View Burial Park, Burnaby, BC. She is predeceased by her brother Giuseppe, and sisters Felicetta, Carolina, Anna, and Mattiela. Maria is survived by her loving family, husband Luigi, son Mike (Bea), daughters Angie, Chiara, Anna (Mike); grandchildren Luigi, Anthony, Sophia, Christina, Alexandra; her brother Agniello (Carolina); sister Nicoletta; sister-in-law Franceschina, and brother-in-law Giuseppe in Italy.
