McCARTNEY – Mabel
December 20, 1920 – January 13, 2010
Mabel passed away peacefully at Fellburn Private Hospital, Burnaby, B.C. Predeceased by her beloved husband Bill, brothers Sid and Art and sisters Ada and Wynn. Survived by her children Mike (Paddy), Terry (Ron), Barb (John) and Bill (Monica), 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter, brother George and many nieces and nephews. Service of Remembrance on Friday, January 22nd at 1:00 p.m. at Bell & Burnaby Funeral Chapel, 4276 Hastings Street, Burnaby, B.C. Family wish to thank the Dr’s, nursing staff and her companion Lucy at Fellburn for their personal care. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Charity of Your Choice.     We were very sorry to hear about Mabel’s passing. Growing up and having your mom and dad around my parents and the group bings a big smile to my face. I loved your mom’s sense of humour and her very expressive face. She was a “say it like it really is” kind of woman and she truly loved all her family. I always loved your dad’s stories about the good old days in Burnaby at the Regent Theatre. I’ m sure your family will have some wonderful stories and memories to share with their grandkids.     I am so sorry that you have all lost your mother. I know it has been a difficult struggle for Mabel the last few years but no matter how long we prepare for this event it is still a heartbreaking reality to losethe one person who loves you unconditionally.I will miss her. She was a very large partof my youth My condolences to all the McCartney clan and I am so sorry that I am so far away. My hugs and love to you all.
