Concetta De Santis

Born June 14, 1923 in Amato, Catanzaro, Calabria, Italy. Passed away December 8, 2009 at Vancouver General Hospital. She is predeceased by her husband Giuseppe and lovingly remembered by her sons: Francesco (Giuseppina), Serafino (June), daughter Filomena (John) Giandomenico. Nanna will be missed by her 8 grandchildren: Joe (Asunta), Peter (Andrea), Dario (Nicole), Daniel, Sarah (Andrew) Bou-Antoun, Lisa, Christine (Alessandro) Pinzarrone, Jonathan Giandomenico and 6 great-granchildren, and brother Francesco (Francesca) Romeo. Concetta immigrated to Vancouver, with her husband and young family in 1967 where she worked and retired from Whitespot in 1980. She always worked hard for the well-being of her family. She loved to cook, entertain family gatherings, and visit with her grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her. The family would like to thank the nurses and all the staff at St. Vincent Langara hospital for all of the wonderful care they provided Nanna during her time there. Prayers will be offered on Monday, December 14, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 2025 Napier Street. Vancouver, BC where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at the Abbey Mausoleum, Ocean View Burial Park, 4000 Imperial Street. Burnaby, BC.
