Surrounded by his loving family when The Lord called our beloved Stefan away on November 7, 2009. Stefan lived with courage, inspiration, determination, caring and love. Stefan will be missed dearly by his parents, Maria and Franc, his brother Mathieu and Erica, grandparents Ida and Fiore Briglio, grandfather Franjo in Croatia, uncles Frank (Diana), Alex (Tina), cousins Adam, Kyle, Tessa, Brandon, and his angel, and love of his life, Camille. Special thank-you to Dr. M. Barnett and his staff. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 13, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Helen’s Catholic Church 3860 Triumph Street, Burnaby. Entombment to follow at the South Mausoleum, Ocean View Burial Park, Burnaby. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Leukemia-Lymphoma Society of B.C. .

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Marie. She was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to all she met. Predeceased by her parents, 10 siblings and her husband Lorenzo (Larry) Paquin. She is survived by her three children, Madeleine Leonard, Loraine Clarke (George) and Joseph (Louise), grandchildren Michael, Katie, Angela, Loren and David, sisters in law Marceline Pilon, Eva Pilon and brother in law Larry Dion and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to thank the staff at Royal Columbian Emergency Department, and a very special thanks to the amazing and caring staff at Ridge Meadows ICU for their care and compassion for our dear mother and all of us. We shall never forget your kindness. Also, a warm thanks to the staff and friends at the Mulberry. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. from St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 5251 Joyce St. Vancouver. Committal to follow at the Gardens of Gethsemani in Surrey, BC. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Ridge Meadows Hospital Foundation or the Sisters of Atonement.
