Madeleine Mary Bissett (nee Loiseau)

 A graceful spirit, a giving heart and a beautiful soul. It is with profound sadness that we say goodbye to our beloved mother and grandmother, Madeleine Mary Bissett, who passed away peacefully Thanksgiving Day, October 12, 2009. The Lord has called Mom home to be reunited with the love of her life, our dad George; her son Glenn and her mother Nora. Madeleine is lovingly remembered by her children Diane (Travis), Maureen (John), Craig (Kathleen), and Michele (Ray); grandchildren Garrett (Ashley), Justine (Sean), Melisse (Alan), Graeme, Kyle, Jordan, Braydon, Lauren, Jacqueline; great-grandchildren Brooklyn, Ethan and Laura; many relatives, dear friends and her loyal canine companion, Lady. Mom lived her life with class and grace, seeing only the good in people and always putting others before herself. Mom’s amazing strength, resilience and positive outlook during her courageous battle with cancer is inspirational to everyone who knew her. We are changed forever. Very special thanks to the kind nurses and staff at St. Michael’s Hospice in Burnaby for their wonderful care during Mom’s final weeks. They treated Mom with dignity and respect and allowed her to spend the final part of her life’s journey in comfort, with her family at her side. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 17th at Immaculate Conception Parish 8842 – 119th St, North Delta. Donations may be made to St. Michael’s Hospice in Burnaby. Mom, we will miss you more than words can say.
