Domenico Mastromonaco
October 8, 1925 – October 24, 2009
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, dad and nonno Domenico (affectionately referred to as Minguchio) on October 24, 2009 at the age of 84. He will be missed and forever remembered by his loving wife of 55 years, Giuseppina; his two children, Sergio (Rebecca) and Maria (Frank); his five grandchildren, Megan, Marcelo, Monica, Andrew and Jordan. Born in Morrone Del Sannio, Campobasso, Italy, he immigrated to Buenos Aires, Argentina when he was 25 years old. He married and started a family and then in 1973, at the age of 48 he moved with his family to Canada. Dad was a man of many talents; creativity and working with his hands were his gifts. He spent most of his time working in his office – the garage; inventing, designing and building all sorts of one-of-a-kind gadgets that we will treasure forever. Prayers will be offered on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at 8:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 555 S. Slocan Street, Vancouver. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 30, at 10:00 a.m. with entombment to follow at the Abbey mausoleum, Ocean View Burial Park, Burnaby. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.bellburnaby.com
