Alfredo Callocchia
Born March 10, 1924 in Aielli Alto, L’Aquila, Italy passed suddenly but peacefully October 20, 2009. Alfredo is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Maria Vittoria; daughters Adriana (Tim) Malito, Anna (Allan) Buggie; grandchildren Raffaele (Monique), Victoria, Daniel, Nicholas and Angelica; sisters Maria and Lina both in Italy and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by his parents Agostino and Anna and his brother Guido. A loyal and devoted husband, father and grandfather, Alfredo took great pride and joy in his family. He will always be remembered as an honest, kind and generous man who enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 26, 2009 at St. Helen’s Catholic Church, 3860 Triumph Street, Burnaby. Entombment to follow at The Abbey, Ocean View Burial Park, Burnaby. Many thanks to the staff at Fellburn Care Centre for their wonderful care during Alfredo’s stay. I was so sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad. We never know when the good Lord wants to take the best ones so that they may do work for him at his right hand. You know that Alfredo will be looking down on all of us and being there when we need him. He will always be in your hearts and will also be in your mind for along time. I will pray that you will smile when you hear his name and only rember the wonderful smile that he gave to you when he saw and heard your name.
