Albert Mercurio

April 2, 1933 – Sept. 17, 2009
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Albert Mercurio at the age of 76 years. Albert was born in Francavilla, Abruzzi, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1951. He met and married his soul mate Elsie who predeceased him in 1991. He lived in Vancouver and spent most of his widowed years enjoying the serenity of Green Lake. Albert is lovingly remembered by his brothers, Guy (Mary), Mike (Sharon); sisters, Maria (Felice), Gabriella (Benito); brothers-in-law Norm (Marion), Charles and sister-in-law Edna; many nieces and nephews. Albert was a caring and committed husband, son, brother, uncle and dear friend to many. He will be missed by all who were touched by him and will now be forever reunited with his loving wife Elsie. Prayers will be offered Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Church 1450 Delta Ave., Burnaby where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 24, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. Entombment to follow at the Abbey, Ocean View Burial Park.
