Teresa (“Baka”) Ivsich

Passed away peacefully at home in her family’s care on July 20, 2009 after a brief illness and a full 92 year life. She touched many lives, sharing generously her talents of cooking and sewing with her family and friends. She was a true matriarch and cared passionately for her family. Baka will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Cecilia(Tom), sister Ruzica, grandchildren Tommy(Kim), Christine(Kevin), Michelle(Patrick) and great-grandchildren Spencer, Brodie, Hannah, Jeremy, Chantelle, Finn and Jacob. Predeceased by her husband Joseph, infant son, and sister Emica. Prayers will be offered July 23,2009 at 7:30 pm at Bell and Burnaby Funeral Chapel 4276 Hasting St. Burnaby. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated July 24, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Croation Church 3105 East 1st Ave Vancouver, followed by a reception in the church hall. Internment to follow at Gardens of Gethsemani Cemetery. Our thanks to the health care team who helped make her final weeks more comfortable especially Dr. B Ng, Dr. R Clarke, Delta Hospital’s ER and 2nd Floor nurses and the compassionate Delta Palliative Care nurses. If friends so desire, donations may be made to Zaklada Bl. Marije Petkovic , Malinova 4 , Zagreb, Croatia.
Her presence in all our lives was deeply felt and will be sorrowfully missed… We love and miss you Baka!
