Following the war he lived in West Vancouver, had a cabin on Hollyburn Ridge – skiing and hiking; became a life member of the Alpine Club of Canada. Owned and operated a lumber yard in Burnaby and was a co-founder of the Irly Bird Group of Lumber Yards. With early retirement he took up farming in S.E. Langley and with family raised Reg. Heartfelt thanks to the staff and volunteers of George Derby Centre who provided remarkable care and kindness to our Dad. Cremation has taken place. No service by request. In his memory take a moment to reflect on conversations and activities shared and raise a toast to a life well-lived.
