She is predeceased by her grandfather Samuel Pignatelli, grandmother Nola Wood, and great-grandfather Emilio Iannattone. We are saddened to announce the loss of our husband, son, brother in law, and Uncle “Ron” at St. Paul’s Hospital, Vancouver, BC. Ron loved life and spent a lot of time in the outdoors with his friends and his beloved dogs. He was a longtime member of Local 97 Iron Workers. He was predeceased by his father Vendel and father in law Bill Bruin. Ron is survived by his loving wife Donna, mother Margaret, mother in law Rita Bruin and sister and brother in law Lyn & Don Beaucamp and their family as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Memorial Mass will be on Monday March 16, 2009 at 11:00 am. at Holy Cross Church 1450 Delta Ave., Burnaby, BC. Reception to follow at the church. Suddenly at his home in Burnaby B.C. on Monday March 2, 2009 in his 54th year. Much loved brother of Mary and her husband Ralph Muller. Dear uncle to Katie and Sean. Son of Bertha Julian and the late Philip Julian. Nephew of Dorothy Graham. Ron worked as a Lab Technologist employed at the BC Children’s Hospital. In the past he also worked at the Royal Columbian Hospital and even taught at the British Columbia Institute of Technology for over two years. Ron was very well liked and a very dedicated and hard worker. He also made conscious life decisions to help improve the environment. Ron was taken from us too soon! Now resting with inner peace. Cremation with a Memorial Service at a later date. If so desired, donations to the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation or Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Sadly our beloved Mamma Luisa passed on March 1st at Mt. St. Joseph Hospital. Luisa was born in Rivignio, Istria, immigrated Italy to Canada in 1950, settled in Vancouver. Luisa is predeceased by her husbands, Girolamo Quarantotto (1975) and Michael Buble (1991). Survived by her loving daughters, Gianna, Fiamma, Alba, Gioia, Lidia, Libera, Edivige, many grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren, family and friends. Luisa always had a smile for everyone until the end. Special thanks to Dr. Rino Moccia, for his exemplary care, and dedication; to the dedicated staff at Villa Carital and Mt. St. Joseph Hospital for their care and compassion. Robertson, Jean Mary passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at the age of 98 years. Jean was the second daughter of Judge and Mrs. H.E.A Robertson of Prince George, BC. She is survived by her loving family; sister Elisabeth Robertson; sisters-in-law Gladys Robertson and Mary Robertson; nieces Mary-Jo Brown (Richard), Kathleen Robertson and Peggy Robertson; nephews Rocke Robertson, Doug Robertson (Kay), Bruce Robertson (Maryvonne) and Duncan Robertson; a number of great-nieces and great-nephews and dear friend Josephine Aitken. Jean spent her early days in Prince George with her six brothers and sisters. She spent a number of years in Montreal working for Trans Canada Airlines returning to rural BC where she enjoyed the natural beauty of the country-side. Passed away on March 5, 2009 in Burnaby, British Columbia. Tony was born on March 8, 1922 on a farm in Ponzano, Italy and grew up in a large family including brothers Ettore, Checci, Pierro, Aldo, Vittorio, Guido and sister Maria. He immigrated to Canada in 1949 and worked in the logging industry with his uncle Joe Zanatta in Campbell River. Tony later settled in Burnaby and began his own company, which achieved great success, undertaking construction projects all over British Columbia until his retirement. He is survived by his two sons; Tony and Roy, granddaughter Natalie, siblings; Vittorio, Pierro and Maria, nephew Joe and family and friends in both Canada and Italy. Funeral service will be held at Holy Cross Church, 1450 Delta Avenue Burnaby, BC on Thursday, March 12, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers a donation to the BC Cancer foundation would be appreciated.
