Mervin Rae Ford

August 22, 1931  -  February 28, 2009

Early Saturday morning, Merv passed away peacefully in the Burnaby General Hospital.  Whether we called him Dad, Grandpa, Uncle Merv or just Merv, he enriched our lives with his wisdom, humour and care, shared so exuberantly with us all.

Remembering him will be easy

because we’ll do it every day.

But losing him will be hard,

causing a heartache that’ll never go away.

We’ll hold him tenderly in our hearts,

and there he’ll forever remain.

We know life must go on without him,

But it will never be the same.
