Sophia Vlachos

January 9, 1945 – February 15, 2009It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mother Sophia. She will be deeply missed by her beloved husband Kyriakos, sons Andreas (Ippolita) and Nickos, granddaughters Anna-Sofia, and Gabriella and many extended family and friends. She was the fourth child of seven born in Thermisia, Argolidos, Greece. Sophia adored her family and her grandaughters were the greatest joy in her life. She had a heart of gold and put everyone’s needs before her own. Always with her warm smile and open arms, she welcomed everyone in her home and we always enjoyed her unforgettable cooking. For those of us that have been blessed to have had Sophia in our lives know that angels do exist on earth. A funeral service will be held on February 19, 2009 at 11:30am at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 4541 Boundary Rd., Vancouver, BC.
