Mona St. Celia Drummond

Born April 28, 1916 in Reston, Manitoba and passed away peacefully at Banfield Pavilion, VGH on January 23, 2009. Mona was predeceased by husband, Ed and son, Douglas. She will be sadly missed by son Glen (Candy), daughter Debbie (Bill) and daughter-in-law, Jean.She will also be lovingly remembered by grandchildren Michael(Ashley), Colin, Lindsay and Gregory. In her lifetime, Mona enjoyed helping and serving others through associations such as the P.T.A., the Optimists, and supporting organizations dealing with “Down’s Syndrome”. She loved music such as singing in the choir and playing piano. Mona was a positive, non-judgmental woman, loving and tolerant of others and definitely strong-willed,which probably kept her going till 92. We will all miss her friendliness, the fun times and her good sense of humour. She was active till age 91, bowling at Grandview Lanes and managing her own home. A service of remembrance will be held at the Bell & Burnaby Funeral Chapel, 4276 East Hastings, Burnaby on Thursday, January 29, 2009 at 2:00 pm.
