March 5, 1921 – January 28, 2009 Antonietta passed away peacefully on January 28, 2009 at the age of 87. She is predeceased by her husband Michele and her son Samuele. She is survived by her loving family; daughter Anna Maria (Vitaliano), son Leonard (Maria), 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Kopernik Lodge for all of their loving care. Born April 28, 1916 in Reston, Manitoba and passed away peacefully at Banfield Pavilion, VGH on January 23, 2009. Mona was predeceased by husband, Ed and son, Douglas. She will be sadly missed by son Glen (Candy), daughter Debbie (Bill) and daughter-in-law, Jean.She will also be lovingly remembered by grandchildren Michael(Ashley), Colin, Lindsay and Gregory. In her lifetime, Mona enjoyed helping and serving others through associations such as the P.T.A., the Optimists, and supporting organizations dealing with “Down’s Syndrome”. She loved music such as singing in the choir and playing piano. Mona was a positive, non-judgmental woman, loving and tolerant of others and definitely strong-willed,which probably kept her going till 92. We will all miss her friendliness, the fun times and her good sense of humour. She was active till age 91, bowling at Grandview Lanes and managing her own home. A service of remembrance will be held at the Bell & Burnaby Funeral Chapel, 4276 East Hastings, Burnaby on Thursday, January 29, 2009 at 2:00 pm.

Born in Volpago Del Montello, Treviso, Italy, on January 5, 1913, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2009, in Vancouver, B.C. Predeceased in 1998 by his loving wife, Ida. He is survived by his sisters, Marina, Lina (Dino), Zelinda, his sister-in-law Isena, and his many nieces and nephews. Luigi was an avid gardener. He worked as a gardener for many years keeping the U.B.C. Boulevards in impeccable condition. Upon his retirement he continued with his love of gardening much to the benefit of his relatives and neighbours. The family would like to thank the staff at Columbus Residence for the loving care given to Luigi these last two years. Prayers will be offered on Monday, January 26, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. at Bell & Burnaby Funeral Chapel, 4276 Hastings Street, Burnaby.
