I worked with Yvette at Symcor and our entire team was shocked to hear of her passing. There were many tears shed last Friday after we received the news. Yvette will always be remembered as a very happy, friendly and caring person. She only had positive thoughts and stories to share. Everyone who knew her will always miss her smile and warm laugh but we were all extremely blessed to have known Yvette and feel fortunate that our paths crossed.

I will Miss Yevette’s warm and caring nature, as we have been friends for 30 years. She never had a harsh word to say about anyone, and her wonderful smile was infectious. I spoke to Yevette on a weekly basis while she was ill, and although her little body had endured what most people,( I pray ) will never have to she tried very hard to stay positive strong & upbeat. Yevette without a doubt, put up a long & hard fight, as she always did when it was important to her. She was very concerned about her sister Evon, and how she was managing and felt badly about the situation. She told me more than once, that if it hadn’t been for her sister Evon that she would not have made it as far as she had. Evon, Yevette loved you very much and appreciated all that you had done for her. The last time I saw my Wonderful Friend, we both said I Love You and Kissed each other on the cheek. No words were spoken beyond that, as we both knew that it would be the last time we would see each other. (in this life). I Miss You & Love You Yevette & I will never Forget You.

    Yvonne:

I’m so sorry to read about Yvette in today’s paper. My thoughts are with you and all the family at this time. It has been some time since I’ve last seen Yvette or yourself. I can’t tell you what went through my mind at the time but all the memories from the time you used to babysit me to Hatzic Lake adventures and all came back and they are memories I will cherish forever. Again my thoughts are with you at this sad time
