Dina Taddei (nee Friscioni-Morlacci)
October 30, 1954 to September 15th, 2008
It is with tremendous sorrow that we announce the passing of Dina on September 15th, 2008. Dina is survived by her husband, Anthony and daughters Melissa and Alessandra, and her parents, Rosina and Mario. She also leaves behind her mother and father-in-law Domenica and Giuseppe Taddei, brother-in-law Victor (Ornella) Larissa and Adrian; uncles, aunts and cousins, colleagues and friends in Canada, U.S.A. and Italy. Dina was born in the quiet hilltop village of Villa Di Mezzo, Abruzzo, Italy. In 1969, Dina and Rosina immigrated to Canada to start a new life. At Simon Fraser University, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in French and teaching certificate and Masters of Arts in Teaching with distinction. She taught French and Spanish at Abbotsford Senior Secondary School and served as International Baccalaureate languages program coordinator and Linguistics department head for many years. She joined School District 43 (Coquitlam) in 1990 where she taught French at Port Moody Senior Secondary and Banting Middle School, and later transferred to Centennial High School to teach Spanish. Dina was well respected by her students, fellow teachers and administrators. She displayed passion in everything she undertook. Her greatest joy was nurturing Melissa and Alessandra and watching them mature into fine young ladies. The family would like to thank Dr. D. Stuart and all the health care staff that cared for Dina during her illness.
