CARRUTHERS Margaret (Peggy) June 15, 1923 – July 16, 2008 Peggy passed away peacefully. Predeceased by her loving husband James and siblings Eileen and Bob. Peggy was a devoted mother of three children Jill (Bernie McCarthy), Susan (Roger Day) and April (Dan Wilson); and proud grandmother of James, Joanne, Stefanie, Danielle, Thomas and Kevin, great-grandmother to Evan, James and aunt to many nieces and nephews. Peggy was a long time resident of North Burnaby. She enjoyed being an active member of the community. Peggy was a woman of outstanding character and independence. Loved by all that knew her, Peggy made friends easily as she welcomed and treated all as family. She will be sorely missed.
Celebration of Life
The celebration of Peggy’s life will begin at 1:00 p.m. at Bell & Burnaby Funeral Chapel, 4276 Hastings Street, Burnaby, on Monday, July 21, 2008.
Donations

Jacilynn was the light of our lives
Our little sweetheart was born December 4, 1963, She died suddenly on Wednesday, July 16, 2008. She will be sadly missed by her son Kyle the light of her life, her loving partner Randy, her brother Ron (Jacqueline), sisters Lorraine (Sam), Bet, nephews, Louie (Anna), Christopher, Shane (Tanya), family friend Bailey and many friends and co-workers. She was a very special person touching the hearts and lives of everyone she met.

A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at 11:00am at Bell & Burnaby Funeral Chapel, 4276 Hastings St. Burnaby, BC.

SANTALUCIA Gerlando October 28, 1931 – July 13, 2008 Gerlando was born in Siculiana, Agrigento, Italy and passed away peacefully at Burnaby Hospital with his family by his side. Survived by his loving wife Antonina of 49 years, daughters, Maria (Rob) Fumo and Josephine, son: Salvatore, 2 grandchildren, Michael and Robert.
Prayers & Mass of Christian Burial
Prayers will be offered on Thursday, July 17th at 7:00 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 3105 East 1st Avenue, Vancouver, B.C. Mass of Christian Burial to follow Friday, July 18th at 10:00 a.m. Entombment at Ocean View South Mausoleum. The family wish to extend special thanks to the doctors and nursing staff at Burnaby Hospital.

VICIC Luja (Lucy) nee Basic Beloved Mother, Baki and Wife, born in Perusic, Lika, Croatia on September 22, 1938 taken from us too early on July 10, 2008 at the age of 69. Survived by husband Josip (Joe), children Katica (Josip) Dolanjski, Branko, Damir, Marko and Zdenko, grandchildren Mandy, Jasna, Lucas, Damir Jr. and Emili, brothers Joso (Mitzi) Basic, Ivan (Anka) Basic and many nieces, nephews and friends in Vancouver and worldwide. She touched everyone’s hearts, being loved by all. She prayed for her children every day. All of her children. She knew God was watching over them because she asked him to. Now with God she is watching over them. She is at peace smiling forever from above. Special thanks to Dr. Kenneth Cho and Kelly, and to all of her family and friends and a huge thanks to Ujna Mitzi who was there for her at all times.

Prayers will be held Monday, July 21 at 7:00 pm and funeral mass will be held Tuesday, July 22 at 11:30 am at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Croatian Parish 3105 E. 1st Ave., Vancouver. Entombment will take place South Mausoleum, Ocean View Burial Park, 4000 Imperial St., Burnaby.

MONNO Paolo It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother Paolo Monno, who passed away peacefully in his home on July 2, 2008 at age 52. He was born in Triggiano Bari Italy on November 7, 1955. He is predeceased by his father Francesco 1972, mother Vincenza 1992, and sister Filomena 2007. He will be sadly missed by his loving family, sisters and brothers Anna (Donato), Assunta (Eustachio), Vincenzo (Maria), Michele, Giovanna (Bartolomeo), Giuseppe (Kerry), Rosa (Vito), Silvana, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
