KRPAN IKA (EVA) October 2, 1927 – June 13, 2008 It is with tremendous sadness that the family of Ika Krpan announce her passing at the age of 80. Ika was born in Lovinac Lika, Croatia. She moved to Canada with her husband and 2 children to Richmond, BC in 1967 and in 1969 gave birth to her 3rd child. She worked with CP Air until she retired. Ika is survived by her husband of 59 yrs Jure Krpan and a legacy of 3 generations. Her son Ivan (Dragica); daughters Dragica (Stjepan) and Mariana (Steve), 9 grandchildren, Angie (Mike), Ante, Mariana (John), Ana (Dane), Jure (Tanya), Kristina, Sabrina, Danica and Ella, 5 great-grandchildren, Mateo, Cole, Tomas, Davis, and Milan. Sister Marija Miletic and her family in Croatia; first cousins, Marica Bulic, Dragica Glavacic and her family, Ikica Beg and her family in Croatia. Her abundant love for her family and friends is etched forever in our hearts and will live on for eternity. She touched many lives and her legacy, love, compassion and gentle ways will live on in those she knew and met. It is a testament to her that she was surrounded by many family and friends as she left this world. Ika’s husband and children can not find words to express their love and gratitude to the 3rd floor care staff at Langley Gardens. Your extraordinary kindness, loving care and support reassures us that there are angels on Earth. God bless you all! Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, June 19th, 2008 at 6:30pm at the lmmaculate Heart of Mary Croatian Catholic Church, 3105 East 1st Ave, Vancouver, BC. Dinner and a celebration of life to follow at the Croatian Cultural center. Interment at a later date in Croatia. To honour Baba Ika’s love for children, in lieu of flowers donations to the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.

MacLeod, Donald Stewart born on April 18, 1917 in Vancouver, B.C. passed away peacefully in his home in Burnaby, on June 9, 2008. Donald joined the RCMP for five years, and then served his country in WWII. Upon returning from the war he joined the Vancouver Police Department and after 32 years he retired in 1977 and is the oldest retired Vancouver Police officer. He is predeceased by his wife Lucy in 2002. Donald is survived by his loving daughter Roxanna and nieces and nephews. No service by request.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father, and nonno, Antonio, on June 7, 2008. He is predeceased by his brothers Giovanni and Carlo. Antonio is survived by his loving family wife Maria, son Dave (Amie) and daughter Sandra (Luigi), grandchildren Antonio, Joseph, Maria, and soon expected grandchild. He also leaves three brothers and four sisters in Italy, and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Prayers will be offered on Thursday, June 12, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. from Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church 555 S. Slocan Street, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 13, at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at the South Mausoleum, Ocean View Burial Park, Burnaby. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the B.C. Cancer Foundation, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

CRESCENZO Letizia RitaWas born on August 3rd, 1946 in Sarno, Italy. She passed away peacefully Thursday, June 5th, 2008 in her home in Vancouver, BC after courageously battling cancer for the past 16 months. Our Mother lived for her family. With a heart of gold and generous spirit, she dedicated and sacrificed her life to her husband, children, grandchildren and her extended family. Her sacrifice and hard work allowed her family to have a better life. Her fantastic smile and humorous side allowed her family to laugh and to not take themselves too seriously. Her strength and ability to see the positives in people allowed her family to develop an inner-strength to persevere. In short, she laid the foundation in all of us to carry her spirit in our hearts and to touch everyone as she has touched us by showing how to give, share and above all love. Mamma and Nonna, you are our Angel and have left us all too soon. You are sadly missed and will never be forgotten! We love you so much! She is predeceased by her father Alfredo and brother Bernardo D’Angelo. She is survived by her loving husband Tony, her children Agnese (Benny), Alfonso (Barb), Nina, and Anthony; her grandchildren Anthony, Isabella, Cristina, and Alessandra; mother Cristina; sisters Rosaria (Tommaso), Adele (Gino), Anna, Pina (Amadeo), Emilia (Salvatore), Gemma and brother Antonio (Anna Maria), (Iolanda); her extended family Nina, Assunta (Franco), and Ella (Carmelo); and many nieces, nephews and friends.
