Joseph Ceh
CEH – We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Joseph Ceh, loving father and husband, on June 15, 2008 after a long and courageous battle with leukemia. Joseph was born March 15, 1942 in the town of Paz, Croatia. He lived proudly in his homeland where he studied, learned his carpentry trade, and worked on the family farm. At the age of 21, he immigrated to Canada in 1963 and worked in northern BC as a carpenter constructing logging camps and sawmills. He settled in the Lower Mainland where he gained the reputation as an expert carpenter, skilled craftsman, hard worker, and talented gardener. Joseph was known for his honesty, work ethic, lending a helping hand, and above all, being humble and genuine. He was loved by all who knew him and although he will be sadly missed, he will be lovingly remembered forever. Joseph is survived by his loving family: wife of 36 years Maurina; son Tony; daughter Marianne; brothers Dusan and Nino (Slavica); sisters Tilia (Gaetano), Maria (Flavio), and Ankica; sister-in-law Milena; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends in Vancouver, New York, and Croatia. Predeceased by his mother Anna, father Anton, and brother Mario.
