Vincenzo Calla

September 26, 1924 – December 7, 2007

It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing away of our beloved husband, father and Nonno at the age of 83. He was born in Mammola, Reggio Calabria, Italy and was predeceased by his father and mother, Francesco and Carmela and brother Domenico. He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Luisa, loving children, Maria Thomas (Ron), Nancy Calla (Tom), Frankie, and his five treasured grandchildren, Danielle, Chelsea, Brandon, Breanne, and Robert. Prayers will be offered Thursday, December 13 at 7:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows, 555 Slocan Street, Vancouver, where Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, December 14 at 10:00 a.m. followed by Entombment at the Abbey Mausoleum in Ocean View Burial Park. Many thanks to Dr. R. Hay, Dr. Jamal and the Renal Clinic at St. Paul’s and the doctors and nurses in A.C.E. at VGH. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kidney Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
